MAIN ACTIVITIES
The I-66 Eastbound Widening Project includes construction of a new Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail Bridge over Lee Highway (Route 29).

TRAFFIC IMPACTS
W&OD Trail
The new trail on the west side of Lee Highway is available to the public, but the W&OD Trail Bridge is still closed.

A temporary detour on the east side of Lee Highway began on Oct. 19, shifting pedestrian traffic onto the new trail north of the pedestrian bridge. This detour is in place for the reconstruction of the sidewalk, driveway entrances, curbs, and gutters along Lee Highway and Fairfax Drive and is expected to remain in place for about two weeks.
