The I-66 widening project will add an additional travel lane on eastbound I-66 from the Dulles Connector Road to Fairfax Drive (Exit 71)

I-66 Eastbound Between Dulles Connector Road and Exit 71 (Fairfax Dr.)
Monday through Friday, September 30 to October 5: 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Two nights of left lane closures for setting drainage structures east of N. Sycamore St. One to two nights of right lane closures for material delivery.

Williamsburg Blvd. Between Westmoreland St. and Meridian St.
Monday through Friday, September 30 to October 5: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Alternating right and left lane closures for removing existing sound wall and installing demo overhangs on the I-66 bridge.

Custis Trail under I-66 (near Bon Air Park)
Detour of trail will be active on Sept. 16, 2019, until the completion of construction.

This project, part of the I-66 Inside the Beltway improvements, will provide direct access from eastbound I-66 to the West Falls Church Metro station by constructing a new ramp connection between two existing ramps (eastbound I-66 to Route 7 and the eastbound I-66 collector-distributor road adjacent to the station's parking garage.)

The I-66 Eastbound Widening Project includes construction of a new Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail Bridge over Lee Highway (Route 29).
